Plain version: read anything, use anything, and what you contribute stays available to the people it was meant for.

Using the site

The reference pages are free to read and free to quote with attribution. The tools are free to use online. Don't scrape the whole site and republish it as your own.

What you contribute

You keep ownership of anything you contribute. You give Gridopedia permission to publish it, show it alongside other entries, and include it in aggregated figures.

You confirm, when you submit, that the entry comes from your own professional experience, contains no client or project names or confidential information, and that no confidentiality obligation covers it. If you are not sure, don't submit it.

You can remove your own entries at any time. Removal takes effect within two business days, and the entry leaves all future displays and calculations.

If the site changes hands or stops

Contributed data is not a separate asset for sale. If Gridopedia is sold, the data transfers with the site under these same terms and is never licensed or sold separately. If Gridopedia shuts down, the aggregated data is published openly rather than deleted.

Accuracy and liability

Everything here is general reference material, not legal, contractual or professional advice, and is provided without warranty. Rates and worked examples are for sanity-checking, not for use as evidence in a claim. Decisions you make on a real project remain yours. See the disclaimer for the longer version.

Moderation

Contributed entries may be edited for clarity, held back, or removed — in particular anything naming a project, employer or individual.
